Statues.com is a family business managed by the Karpos family. We have been in the classical statue and manufacturing business for over 40 years, beginning with Vasili’s parents in Athens, Greece.
Statues.com was the first custom sculpting studio to offer commissioned marble and bronze art sculpture services online. Over the years our business has evolved to include clients from all over the globe.

Marblecast Statue Co., Inc. is Founded
Established in Salt Lake City, Utah, Marblecast Statue Co., Inc. began as an importer of fine sculptures for the gift and home décor market. The company was built on a foundation of classical artistry and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Launch of Statues.com
Statues.com became the first custom sculpture company to establish a full online presence, offering direct access to high-quality, made-to-order statuary through digital platforms.
National Expansion
The company’s client base expanded from regional to national, securing commissions from museums, civic institutions, and public landmarks throughout the United States.
Mastering Materials
Production capabilities were broadened to include bronze finishes and full bronze casting. Expertise was developed in detailed patinas, coloring techniques, and traditional bronze work—expanding beyond bonded marble as the primary material.
Global Reach
International shipments began, serving clients in Europe, Latin America, and Africa. This milestone marked the company's emergence as a global provider of custom statuary, trusted by institutions, communities, and individuals across multiple continents.
The Origins of SculptHER
The idea for SculptHER originated from the internal initiative “Where Are the Women?”—a call to increase representation of women in public art through custom statue commissions.
Digital Revitalization
In response to the global pandemic, the company revitalized its online presence and restructured its client support systems. Emphasis was placed on improving digital communication, redesigning order fulfillment processes, and helping clients maintain their own visibility during a time of limited in-person engagement.
National Recognition by Google
Selected as Utah’s featured business in the Google U.S. Economic Impact Report, recognizing innovation, resilience, and contributions to local and national economic growth through digital engagement.
Expanded Capabilities
New technologies were adopted, including 3D design and digital sculpting. The team was expanded to include digital artists and technical specialists, supporting complex large-scale commissions and creative flexibility.
